Frequently asked questions
What do you mean with a work program?
A work program (“werkprogramma” in Dutch, “Prüfungsprogramm” in German, “programme de vérification” in French) is a set of steps and checks to verify if certain information is correct.
At Engyon we have spent significant time with our assurance partners to develop specific work programs to support the different types of customer engagements you will have as an assurance firm. For each engagement, we provide a different work program to make sure that you deliver high-quality and low-risk audit results.
Which work programs do you provide?
Our software currently supports the following work programs:
- VSME limited – this program consists of work instructions derived from EFRAG’s voluntary VSME reporting standards and can be used to audit VSME companies who voluntarily decide to audit their sustainability reporting, based on limited assurance.
- Interim ESRS – limited – this program consists of ESRS2 and one or more topical standards (e.g. S1, E1), based on limited assurance and ISSA5000.
- Full ESRS – limited – this program consists of the full ESRS set of work instructions based on limited assurance and ISSA5000.
Can I build my own work program?
Yes you can. For specific work programs related to CSRD, we will support your efforts with automating particular steps in your work program through the use of AI. The custom work program has to be curated and we will provide a sanity check to make sure that the intended goal of the custom work program is met.
Does it cost more to set up my own custom work program?
Yes. Custom work programs are not automatically supported by Engyon and require vetting. If you are interested in discussing this, please contact us directly.
Do your work programs guarantee compliance to CSRD?
Even though we aim to deliver 100% compliance, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee compliance or even completeness of disclosure of the undertaking.
As an assurance firm, you are legally responsible for providing that guarantee.
We consider ourselves a specialist of CSRD audits and aim to provide services to help you deliver 100% compliance and deliver a sound professional opinion to all stakeholders.
How do you store the necessary evidence for each audit?
We store all checks and all evidence found through reference in data, interviews, supporting documents, corrections and updates in our hybrid registry. As an auditor, you will be able to find your supporting evidence by searching for a particular check and finding all connected evidence directly.
How long do you store my data?
We store your audit files, data, documents and the results for a minimum of seven years, according to the law. We also support the storage of multi-year audit files that show sustainability performance of a particular undertaking across multiple audit years. This helps with developing a sound professional opinion on the risk of material misstatement.
What AI models are used?
Engyon uses a variety of different services, ranging from OpenAI GPT to Meta Llama to Anthropic Claude. For each specific use case, we find the right and economically viable solution to support that use case.
